Cavaliers,
Welcome back! As we begin the second semester, I want to extend a warm welcome and share my excitement for the opportunities ahead. I hope you enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating Winter Break and are ready to reconnect with our campus community and recommit to excellence in all that we do.
This new semester is a fresh start—an opportunity to grow through CAVS Connect, where Academics, Activities, the Arts, and Athletics come together to create a well-rounded and engaging high school experience. Whether you are sharpening your academic skills, participating in clubs and leadership activities, expressing yourself through the arts, or competing in athletics, each of these areas plays a vital role in your development as a Cavalier.
Seniors, this is your moment. Your final semester of high school is officially underway. Stay focused, remain disciplined, and finish strong as you prepare for graduation and the next chapter of your journey. Your perseverance and dedication will make this milestone one to remember.
The start of a new year is also the perfect time to reflect, reset, and refocus. I encourage every student to think about last semester’s successes and challenges and to set new academic and personal goals. Strong habits in academics, consistent involvement in activities, creative engagement in the arts, and commitment in athletics will position you for success both now and beyond high school.
To support you in achieving your goals, we offer a variety of resources:
• Before and After School Tutoring to strengthen academic skills
• CAP Saturday School to catch up or get ahead
• Canvas to stay organized and monitor assignments
• Counselors and Teachers, who are here to guide, support, and advocate for you
Please mark your calendars for the following days when school will not be in session:
• January 19th – MLK Jr. Day
• February 9th – Lincoln’s Day
• February 16th – Presidents Day
• March 30th – April 3rd – Spring Break
Cavaliers, let’s make this semester one to remember. Work hard in your academics, stay engaged in activities, celebrate creativity in the arts, and demonstrate teamwork and perseverance in athletics. Continue to inspire one another, lead with integrity, and dream big. Together, through CAVS Connect, we will strengthen our school community and achieve great things.
