A Letter to the Graduating Class of 2025

Class of 2025,

You are graduating into a world that is more connected, more complex and more demanding than ever before. And yet, in the face of this complexity, you bring with you the very qualities our communities, and our world, need most: resilience, creativity and a drive to make things better.

Your high school journey has not always been an easy one. You began at a time of global uncertainty and continued through years of change that tested every part of society. Through it all, you showed up. You adapted. You supported one another. And most importantly, you grew.

Now, you stand on the edge of something new — not an ending, but a beginning. Whether your next step is college, trade school, military service or joining the workforce, remember this: Education and training are lifelong pursuits. They’re the keys to opportunity and the foundation for becoming the individual you are meant to be.

Our region, the Inland Empire, is full of promise and is one of the fastest-growing areas in California, filled with innovation in industries like health care, green technology, logistics and cybersecurity. The future is being built here, and we will need your energy, your ideas and your commitment to help shape what comes next.

Service today doesn’t just mean fulfilling a duty — it means showing empathy, listening with intention and turning challenges into opportunities. It means being someone others can count on and someone who strives not just for personal success, but for community impact.

We believe in you. We are proud of what you’ve accomplished and even more excited about what lies ahead. You have already made a difference in your schools and neighborhoods. Now, go forward and make a difference in the world.

On behalf of your teachers, counselors, principals, support staff and all of us in the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, thank you for letting us be part of your journey. We are honored to have walked beside you these past four years.

Congratulations, Class of 2025. Your story is just beginning — and it’s going to be extraordinary.

Sincerely,

Mathew G. Holton, Ed.D.
